WITB Cam Smith - Players Championship Winner

There were quite a few things that were unusual about the Players Championship, but Cam Smith winning was not one of them. Smith has been playing some incredible golf this year, and it is no wonder he was able to make some moves at the Players. This tournament saw difficult weather conditions and even more challenging course conditions, but Smith was able to pull through as the best player. If you are curious about which golf clubs Cam Smith used to pull off his win, we have the insider scoop for you.

Driver

Smith is a Titleist guy, and most of the clubs in his bag are Titleist. The driver is the new Titleist TSi3 in a 10-degree loft. His current setting on this club is the A1 setting from Titleist. Smith has quite a bit of clubhead speed and needs to keep the launch and the spin a bit lower. The shaft in this driver is the Fujikura Ventus Blue 6X

Long Game

Cam Smith uses three clubs to bridge the gap between the irons and the driver. The first is a Titleist TSi2 3 wood with 15 degrees of loft. He currently has this set at 16 and is playing it with a Fujikura Ventus Blue 8X

The 7 wood is the older TS2 model set 19 degrees with the UST Elements Red 8F5 Shaft. Not too many golfers carry a 7 wood, but it works well for Smith, and he can use this for both distance and accuracy.

There is also a 3 iron Mizuno Pro Fli -Hi. This club has a KBS Tour 130 X Custom Matte Black to match the irons in his bag.

Irons

Cam Smith is currently playing the Titleist T100 Black in the 5-9 irons. These clubs all have the KBS Tour 130 X Custom Matte Black. These are truly a player's iron with precise distance control, feel and spin. One thing that really helps these irons stand out is the clean look and fresh design.

Wedges

It should come as no surprise that a Titleist guy like Smith has Vokey wedges in his golf bag. The wedges are all the brand new SM9 design in the following lofts; 46, 52, 56, and 60. This is a relatively standard set of golf wedges.

All of the wedges creature the KBS Tour 130 X shaft to have a bit of consistency from the irons down to the wedges themselves.

Putter

Last but certainly not least is the putter. Smith has a Scotty Cameron 009M Prototype. Of all the golf clubs on this list, this is the one that you will have a hard time getting your hands on. All other clubs that Cam Smith plays with are widely available for amateur golfers in custom shaft combinations that will for their game.

For a younger golf professional with a ton of power and precision in their game, this set of clubs is a perfect option. Golfers should take advantage of the new SM9 wedges, as we saw how great these wedges could be while watching Cam Smith capture his Players Championship win.
