Xander Schauffele WITB - Tokyo 2020 Olympics

Xander Schauffele has had a great season on the PGA Tour. It’s rare to turn on an event and not see his name in the mix somewhere. However, nothing can compare to bringing home a gold medal for the USA at the Olympics. Schauffele’s performance stands out as some of the best the game has seen, and his stellar play is partly due to the combination of equipment he has in his bag. Let’s take a look at what Xander Schauffele had in his bag during the Tokyo Olympics game.

Driver

Schauffele is a Callaway guy, so you should be prepared to see some of Callaway’s highest quality and newest releases on this list. The Callaway Epic Speed Triple Diamond in a 9 degree is the club of choice for the driver. The Epic Speed has a Graphite Design Tour AD BB7 shaft. Xander generates a lot of club head speed and distance, and this driver is a smart choice for him.

Fairway Wood

Not many tour players are going to carry more than one fairway wood. Most find other options with the utility and hybrid choices on the market, but Schauffele likes his fairway woods.

He has the Callaway Epic Speed Triple Diamond in 15 degrees as his 3 wood; this fairway wood features the Graphite Design Tour AD DI 7 TX. In addition, Xander also carries a Callaway Mavrik Sub Zero 7 wood set at 18.5 degrees. Again, the shaft is the Graphite Design Tour AD.

You can see that he keeps some consistency in the shafts for the long game.

Irons

The irons in Xander Schauffeles bag are the Callaway Apex TCB in the 4-PW. Like many other golfers on the PGA Tour, he has the True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 as the golf shaft of choice. The Callaway Apex TCB offers a perfect mix of feel, distance, and workability for a PGA Tour professional.

Wedges

The wedges are where Xander tends to stay a bit from the Callaway name. For the 52 degree wedge, he carries the new Callaway Jaws MD5. However, for the 56 and 60, the Titleist Vokey is preferred. The 56 is a Titleist Vokey SM6, and the 60 is a Titleist Vokey SM8 Wedgeworks. These wedges all feature the same True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100. It can be rare to see two different wedge companies in a golfer’s bag, but Xander wants clubs that feel right to him.

Putter

Last but probably most important is the Odyssey O Works #7 CH Red. As you have probably noticed, Schauffele has the large Super Stroke Traxion 2.0 grip in place to help get even more control over his putting stroke. The O Works #7 is a great putter not just for alignment and feel but for consistency as well.

Xander Schauffele plays with quite a bit of equipment that is available for amateur golfers all over the world. If you are a fan of Callaway products and want to experience what Xander plays with, it won’t be hard to get your hands on this equipment.
