Fujikura Ventus White Shaft Review

The Fujikura Ventus White 2025 is the newest addition to Fujikura's acclaimed Ventus lineup. At just 49.5 grams, the Ventus White is the first ever Ventus shaft to reach sub 50 grams, and is geared towards players who desire the famous stability and consistency of Velocore+ but in an ultra-lightweight package designed for increased launch and spin.

Who It's For

The Ventus White 2025 is geared towards:

  • Players with moderate to slower swing speeds seeking a lightweight shaft to maximize speed, launch, and spin without sacrificing consistency and stability.
  • Golfers desiring higher launch and spin to achieve optimal carry distances.
  • Those looking for a lightweight option that doesn't compromise on stability and control.

Technology – VeloCore+

The introduction of Ventus White is an exciting release for the amateur golfer as for the first time, those with lower swing speeds can benefit from the Velocore+ technology. If you are unfamiliar with Ventus or Velocore+ then here is the jist:

Velocore came out as the core technology piece found in Fujikura's original Ventus Shaft lineup. It is designed to increase the shafts ability to resist twisting during the swing, and help deliver your clubface more consistently at impact. From the moment Ventus hit the market it has dominated both amateur and professional golf. At the 2024 Players Championship, at least 1 Ventus shaft was used by 40.7% of the field - a staggering number. And since most players are only paid to play clubs, not shafts, you can be confident that the Ventus lineup is truly a top performer in the market.

Velocore+ is the second iteration of the Velocore technology and is found in the lastest 2024 and 2025 models.

Performance – Dispersion and Distance

The Ventus White 2025 excels at delivering tighter dispersion. Compared to other premium lightweight shafts, we feel the Ventus White shaft will win over most golfers due to it's consistency. The distance is great, and the shaft certainly does it's job launching the ball higher. But the consistency and forgiveness the shaft provides is where we feel the Ventus White holds an advantage.

Feel

The Ventus White shaft feels very smooth and stable. Speaking in technical terms, it has a soft handle and a firm tip. This means there is some decent bend you will feel in the hands with the shaft getting progressively firmer towards the clubhead. Players who like to "feel" the shaft in their hands and those who tend to square the club up by feel tend to prefer shafts with softer handles. The bend felt in the shaft handle provides a bit more feedback to work off of for feel players. So if that describes you, the Ventus White may be fantastic for you.

For those that wouldn't describe themselves as feel players or don't like to feel any shaft bend in their hands, the Ventus White can still provide great results, but may not feel as great to you right off the bat as other shafts that have a firmer handle section.

HOW IT COMPARES

The lightweight shaft market has seen a boom in recent years, with just about every brand now carrying a shaft built for lightweight speed. Here's how we feel the Ventus White stacks up against some popular options in the lightweight category.

Fujikura Ventus White vs. Mitsubishi Vanquish

Both shafts cater to players seeking lightweight options, but the Ventus White  emphasizes stability and control alongside increased launch and spin, whereas the Vanquish focuses more on maximizing swing speed and distance.

The Vanquish bend profile is the complete opposite of Ventus White with a stiff handle section and very active tip aimed at providing as much acceleration through the ball as possible. Those that prioritize distance may be best suited for Vanquish, while those placing a higher priority on accuracy will be better suited with Ventus White.

Fujikura Ventus White vs. AutoFlex

Ventus White 2025 offers a more traditional feel with advanced technology to enhance stability, launch, and spin. Autoflex will feel much different than a traditional shaft, which isn't a bad thing but does take some getting used to. The Ventus White will be much more plug and play for most.

Fujikura Ventus White vs. Fujikura Vista Pro

This Vista Pro is designed for value, offering various profiles to fit a wide range of players, but without the advanced technologies found in the Ventus line. The Vista Pro is a better budget-friendly option with decent performance, while the Ventus White provides advanced technology and materials for enhanced performance, particularly in stability and consistency.

    Final Verdict

The Fujikura Ventus White is a significant advancement in the lightweight shaft category, offering high launch and spin characteristics without compromising stability and control. If you drive the ball between 180-230 yards and struggle getting lift on the ball, then the Ventus White is definitely worth a look. It can provide lower swing speeds fantastic distance gains while also improving accuracy at the same time.
