Brooks Koepka WITB - PGA Championship Winner

Brooks Koepka is a major champion once again. Brooks played incredibly solid golf all week at the PGA Championship and earned his first major title. With Victor Hovland struggling a little at the end of his final round, the door was wide open for Brooks to capture another important victory. If you are wondering what clubs Brooks has in the bag at this point in his career, we have you covered. Brooks has a unique lineup from several different manufacturers, even further highlighting the importance of customizing your golf equipment.

Driver

Brooks Koepka plays with the Srixon ZX5 LS Mk II driver. The club has 10.5 degrees of loft and features the Mitsubishi Diamana D Limited 70 TX shaft. The shaft is built for a player with very high swing speeds, something we know Koepka has always had.

During the PGA Championship, Brooks's driving distance averages about 315 yards, certainly plenty of distance to get him in the right position.

Fairway Wood

The TaylorMade M2 Tour HL is the fairway wood of choice for Brooks Koepka. This club has 16.5 degrees of loft and features the Mitsubishi DIamana D+ 80 TX shaft. It’s interesting that with all the latest Stealth and Stealth 2 releases, Brooks still likes his M2.

When golfers have confidence in a certain club, it makes sense to stick with it.

Irons

Koepka has a bit of a mixed set of irons. His 3 iron is a Nike Vapor Pro, which features the Fujikura Pro Tour Spec 95 X shaft. This is another club that he has had for a while but has had great luck with.

The rest of the iron set comprises the clean-looking and impressive feeling Srixon ZX7 Mk II. He carries the 4-9 iron, and they feature the True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 shaft.

Wedges

The Cleveland RTX ZipCore Tour Rack Raw is the 46-degree wedge for Brooks. In the other three wedges, the 52, 56, and 60, he has the RTX6 ZipCore Tour Rack. The shaft in all four of the wedges is the True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400.

Another important thing to note here is the bounce in Koepka’s wedges. The 46, 52, and 56 are all mid bounce, and the 60 is a low bounce wedge.

Putter

Koepka’s putter was on during the PGA Championship at Oak Hill. He used the Scotty Cameron Teryllium TNP2 putter. Koepka has always had a very traditional and solid putting stroke; when he gets confident with it, he wins major championships.

Final Thoughts

Brooks Koepka’s golf set makeup teaches us that loyalty to just one club manufacturer may cost a few strokes. He has mixed a variety of club heads and shafts to find a perfect setting for his needs. If you want to do the same thing for your game, don’t hesitate to reach out to a Fairway Jockey representative and get your perfect set of golf clubs.
