Lilia Vu is the 2023 Chevron Champion. With an impressive victory on the first playoff hole, Lilia earned herself the chance to leap into the pond on that final hole. The Chevron Championship is the first LPGA major of the year. It gave us a chance to look into the bag of Lilia Vu and see which clubs she is playing with. Women golfers often get pushed towards the complete set options or beginner-style clubs. Driver and Fairway Woods
Lilia Vu is currently playing with the TaylorMade Stealth driver and fairway woods. She had the SIM 2 series in the bag for a few years, but when the new carbon options became available, she made the switch. It does not appear that she has switched to the latest TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway wood and driver.
Sometimes players take a few months to make the switch so that they are fully confident in the clubs they are using before a major championship like this.

Hybrids
Vu is currently using the Srixon ZX hybrid. One of the great things about the ZX hybrid is the fact that it combines workability and forgiveness into one clubhead. Expect to be able to hit this shot with plenty of height, even out of a difficult lie.
In addition, ball speeds coming off the face of the ZX hybrid are high.
Irons
Lilia Vu plays with the Srixon irons and has a bit of a mixed set. She players the Z585 in the 4 iron. She switches to the Z785 (5-PW) for the rest of the set. The reason for the switch is workability and fell.
The shorter irons allow Vu to be more accurate and attack pins, whereas the longer 4 iron in the Z585 leaves a bit more room for forgiveness. Vu is a great ball striker and doesn’t need much forgiveness, but it’s smart to have it in place when the pressure is on.
Wedges and Putter
Vu currently plays with the Vokey SM8 wedges and the Scotty Cameron Golo 5 putter. One of the things we can learn from this unique golf set makeup is the fact that switching from one brand to another throughout the set can give you a strong mix of performance out on the course.
