Matt Fitzpatrick WITB - RBC Heritage Winner

With just one week between the Masters and the RBC Heritage in Hilton Head, the best players in the world have little time to prepare. Interestingly we saw some golfers that made a late run at the Master's leaderboard do quite well at the Heritage. Matt Fitzpatrick ended up coming out on top after a few grueling playoff holes with Jordan Spieth. When looking at Fitzpatrick's game under pressure, it's easy to see why he ranks among the best players in the world. Fitzpatrick has a bit of a mixed bag with some Titleist and some Ping clubs; let's take a closer look at what was used to earn him this victory.

Driver

Fitzpatrick has the Titleist TSi3 in the bag; this is a 9-degree driver built with the better player in mind. With the TSi3 being a more workable model, the Mitsubishi Tensei AV Raw Orange 65 TX is a perfect complement. Fitzpatrick has worked on picking up clubhead speed over the last few years, and he now hits it just as far as Spieth and Cantlay, the two golfers in his final pairing.

Fairway Woods

Some of the par 4's at Sea Pines are a bit shorter, and Fitzpatrick used the fairway woods off the tee box quite often. His 3 wood is the Ping G430 Max with 15 degrees of loft. The club has a similar shaft to the driver, the Mitsubishi Tensei AV Raw Orange 75 TX.
The 7 wood is a Ping G410 with 20.5 degrees of loft. The shaft is a Mitsubishi Tensei CK Pro Orange 80 TX, a little heavier than the fairway wood and driver. Fitzpatrick doesn't play with a hybrid or a utility; he goes right to the 4 iron from here.

Irons

Fitzpatrick has a mixed set of Ping irons. The 4-iron is a Ping i210, and the rest of the set is the Ping S55. With the Ping i210, Fitzpatrick can get a little more forgiveness, whereas the S55 irons have more accuracy and workability.
All of the irons in the set feature the True Temper Dynamic Gold 120 X100 shafts.

Wedges

For the wedges, Fitzpatrick switches back to Titleist. He carries a Titleist Vokey Design SM9 in the 52 and 56 degrees and a Vokey Design Wedge Works in the 60 degree.
The 52-degree wedge features a True Temper Dynamic Gold 120X X100, and the other wedges have a True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue. Fitzpatrick is incredibly accurate with all of these clubs, and he tracks all of his stats and percentages to ensure he always has the right equipment in the bag.

Putter

Fitzpatrick plays with a Bettinardi BB1 Fitz blade-style putter. This is a putter that Fitzpatrick worked on with Bettinardi for it to be the perfect look and feel that he needs on the course.

Final Thoughts

When you look at Fitzpatrick's club selection, it's easy to see his attention to detail. These clubs worked perfectly at the RBC heritage and will likely bring him many more wins in the future. If you think any of the clubs in Fitzpatrick bag could be customized for your needs, look at the Fairway Jockey selection.
