Each year when TaylorMade puts out their new line of golf drivers, fairway woods, hybrids, and irons, we are eager to see what they will have and how it will work for golfers. The TaylorMade SIM products seem to be on hold at the moment while the Stealth lineup has taken charge of the market. The new TaylorMade Stealth drivers have a unique and sleek look to them that we have not yet seen from TaylorMade. Let’s take a bit of a deeper look into what the Taylor Made Stealth has to offer.

Features and Benefits of the TaylorMade Stealth

Simply by looking at the Stealth driver, you can see that the shaping, coloration, and overall top-down look have changed considerably from the SIM 2. When TaylorMade went from the SIM to the SIM 2 Max, the changes were not as significant.

60X Carbon Twist Face

It wouldn’t make much sense for TaylorMade to do away with the Twist Face at this stage in the game. The Twist Face technology allows golfers to fine-tune both launch and spin as well as increase total distance. The new Nanotexture cover allows for greater protection of the club and more distance in a variety of playing conditions.

Carbon is not a typical material of choice from a golf company. To use more than 60 layers of Carbon on a golf club head and step away from Titanium was a bold move from TaylorMade, yet it seems to have worked out quite well.

Higher MOI

The high MOI or Moment of Inertia in the TaylorMade Stealth drivers comes from the weight savings that occurred with the new Carbon Twist Face. With the use of Carbon, more weight was positioned lower and deeper in the head. The result was a higher MOI and increased launch.

Speed Pocket and Inertia Generator

The speed pocket design was also continued into the TaylorMade Stealth technology, but it is even more flexible than in the past. For golfers that tend to miss their driver slightly lower on the club face, the TaylorMade Stealth can really help to ensure that this does not happen.

Models

As we have come to expect from TaylorMade, there is never just one driver for all golfers to play with. The TaylorMade Stealth comes in three different versions.

  • TaylorMade Stealth: The standard model with technology for any golfer
  • TaylorMade Stealth Plus+: The perfect choice for a lower handicap player that needs more workability and a more penetrating ball flight
  • TaylorMade Stealth HD: A golf driver with built in draw bias and plenty of extra forgiveness for the higher handicapper or newer player

Conclusion

We hope you can now see the differences that the TaylorMade Stealth drivers have brought to the market. Whether you have been playing with TaylorMade golf drivers for years or are ready to make the change to something new, The TaylorMade Stealth is the way to go. The technology incorporated into this driver is extremely advanced and will be relevant for years to come. Be the first one in your group to grab a custom carbon face driver from Fairway Jockey.
