The SIM Max series has lasted for quite a few years, and TaylorMade was ready to move on. The new Stealth woods from TaylorMade are a much-anticipated release to the market. This new line combines technologies we have seen over the last ten years with TaylorMade. In addition, they pulled out some new tricks to make this line of fairway woods the highest performing that we have ever seen from the company. If you are in the market for new woods in 2022, this is an option that you will need to consider.
TaylorMade Stealth Fairway Wood: Key Features and Benefits
The TaylorMade Stealth Fairway Wood has a brand new carbon construction that helps it stand out from previous models. The carbon design is there to increase the MOI and help improve overall distance and performance.
Refined V Steel Sole
The V Steel is something that TaylorMade has had on their fairway woods for years. However, with each new release, there are updates to the sole that help reduce friction and improve turf interaction. Performance from both the fairway and the rough is impressive with the Stealth.
Laser Alignment System
The laser alignment system is another new addition to this line. There is a line that stretches the top of the face of the club to help players that struggle with visualization of their line. If you want a clean-looking club head that provides for easy alignment, the Stealth Woods have you covered.
C300 Face
The C300 Face is something that we saw in the Sim 2 Max, and it has continued into the Stealth line of golf clubs. With this face, players get a more powerful launch and some corrective abilities. If you miss-hit the fairway wood from time to time, the Twist Face and C300 face will only help improve accuracy.
Performance
The overall construction of the TaylorMade Stealth Fairway wood is to improve distance and accuracy for golfers. We like the addition of the carbon and the unique alignment system; not only is this club long and forgiving it is also accurate.
TaylorMade Stealth +
For the lower handicap player seeking slightly different characteristics and features in their fairway woods, TaylorMade created the Stealth +. The club head on the Stealth + is 175cc compared to the 190 ccs from the traditional Stealth.
You will notice that the Stealth + is a bit more expensive, but it also comes with an adjustable loft sleeve to help fine-tune performance. The Stealth + features a titanium face for a much different golf ball and club head interaction. However, the carbon features of the Stealth + are not quite as involved as they are in the Stealth.
If you are looking for a fairway wood that will allow you to work the ball and hit more accurate approach shots on long holes, the Stealth + is a great choice.
The TaylorMade Stealth and Stealth + are available for custom pre-order on the Fairway Jockey website. This is a club you will want to ensure you have in your bag in 2022.
