WITB Barbasol Championship

Vincent Norrman managed to win his first-ever PGA Tour golf event at the Barbasol Championship. Vincent really had this tournament to himself when he stepped up to the 10th tee box. Even when he got to 18, it still looked like his. After an unfortunate bogey on the 18th hole, he got to extend his playing time a little and enjoy a playoff victory. Norrman is a Titleist guy with mostly Titleist clubs in his bag, but we found a few interesting things when we looked in the golf bag of the 2023 Barbasol Championship winner.

Driver

Vincent Norrman plays with the Titleist TSR3 driver. He has a 10 degree model but keeps it set at 9.25 degrees. In addition, he has a shaft that is a Project X HZRDUS Smoke Green RDX 75 TX. Many PGA Tour players choose the TSR3 model because it is the most workable of all the Titleist drivers.

Not only does a player like Norrman have incredible swing speed, but he also wants to be able to position the golf shots that he hits. With the TSR3, that is entirely possible.

Fairway Woods

The Fairway woods are where Norrman moves away from the Titleist brand. He has two fairway woods in his bag, a 3 wood and a 5 wood, and they are both from TaylorMade. The 3 Wood is a TaylorMade SIM set at 15 degrees. The SIM features a Fujikura Atmos Tour Spec Grey 7 X.

In addition, Norrman also has the TaylorMade SIM in a 5 wood. This is a 19 degree 5 wood, but it is set very strong at 17 degrees. With this extra bit of strength, Norrman probably sees a very similar performance from his 3 wood and 5 wood.

The TaylorMade SIM 5 wood features a Fujikura Atmos Tour Spec Grey 8 X golf shaft.

Irons

Vincent Norrman has a mixed bag when it comes to irons, a common decision by many of the golfers who use Titleist irons. He has a Titleist 620 CB 4 and 5 iron. Then when it switches to the short irons, you see Norrman move to the Titleist 620 MB.

The reason for his shift in technology is simply the workability and performance of those shorter irons. The MB may be harder to hit, but there is more reward when you do hit it correctly. The shaft in the Titleist irons is a True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100.

Wedges

Titleist rounds out the rest of the set with the Titleist Vokey SM 9 wedges. Norrman carries a 50, 54, and 60 degree wedge. The 50 degree features the same True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue X100 that you see in the Titleist irons.

The 54 and 60 degrees have a slightly softer True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400.

Putter

Vincent Norrman uses a TaylorMade Spider X mallet style putter. This putter is known for its stability and impressive feel at impact.

If you think that any of the clubs in Vincent Norrmans's golf bag could be a good fit for your game, make sure you get them with the proper golf shaft and grip technology in place. Fairway Jockey can help you with any golf club customization needs you have.
