Wyndham Clark WITB - Wells Fargo Championship Winner

Wyndham Clark has been hanging around the top of the leaderboards for a few years. However, at the Wells Fargo Championship, he proved he could finish at the top on Sunday afternoons. Wyndham captured his first PGA Tour victory and did it with a four-stroke lead. The impressive performance likely has little to do with the clubs he has in his bag. Therefore, we wanted to take a look and see what Clark is gaming.

Clark has the Titleist TSi3 in the bag. This club is set at 9 degrees and features the Accra TZ Six ST 60 M5. The TSi3 is designed for the better player looking for low spin and workability in the driver. Clark has not upgraded to the new TSR3, but many golfers have said the clubs are very similar.

Fairway Wood

Clark has just one fairway wood in the bag, a TaylorMade Stealth 2 set at 15 degrees. This club features the Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 80 TX. The Stealth 2 is known for its distance capability and impressive aerodynamic capabilities.

Since Clark only carries one fairway wood, he has a bit of a mixed iron set.

The 3 iron is a Titleist T200 with a bit more forgiveness built in; the club features a Mitsubishi Tensei AV Raw White 100 HY X. The 3 iron with this shaft in it helps to generate a bit of extra clubhead speed and a higher ball flight.

The rest of the irons are Titleist 620 CB irons in the 4-9. These clubs feature the True Temper Dynamic Gold X7 shafts.

For a guy that likes Titleist clubs, it’s no surprise to find some Vokey wedges in the bag. The Titleist Vokey Design SM9 is found in the 46, 52, and 56-degree wedges; the Vokey Design WedgeWorks is the 60-degree.

These wedges are all known for tremendous amounts of spin and control, an impressive feature for any golfer. All of the wedges feature the True Temper Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400.

The 46 and 56-degree wedges have 10 degrees of bounce, and the 52 has 12. Some golfers will have both high and low bounce options in the wedges, but Clark keeps things pretty consistent.

Finally, the club that helped to secure that four shot victory was the Odyssey Jailbird Versa. The Odyssey Jailbird Versa is a mallet head design with a soft yet responsive sweet spot. This is not the newest release from Odyssey, but as all golfers know, when you are comfortable with a putter, it’s worth keeping in the bag.

Final Thoughts

Wyndham Clark's win at the Wells Fargo Championship is likely the first of many. If you think that any of the clubs in his bag could be a good fit for your game, don’t hesitate to reach out to a Fairway jockey representative. Even if your swing speed is not quite as high as Clark’s, we have a wide range of shaft selections to accommodate the needs of any player.
