Butt stiffness refers to the stiffness profile of the handle (grip) section of the shaft. The butt section of the shaft has the biggest impact on feel. The softer the handle, the more you feel the shaft flex. The stiffer the handle, the more a shaft feels "boardy." Players who have active hands, rely on rhythm and timing, or play by feel often benefit from a softer handle, while those who have a quicker tempo or those that don't like to feel the shaft flex often prefer stiffer handles.

Tip Section · Drives Launch
Tip stiffness refers to the stiffness profile of the end (head) section of the shaft. The tip section of the shaft has the biggest impact on launch. The softer the tip, the easier the club can rotate through impact and create loft. Shafts with softer tips generally help launch the ball higher and help correct push or slice tendencies. Shafts with stiffer tips generally help launch the ball lower and help correct pull or hook tendencies. Faster swing speeds often benefit from a stiffer tip by retaining stability and producing flighted trajectories, while slower swing speeds often benefit from a softer tip by generating speed and height.

What is the difference between Ventus Blue and Ventus TR Blue?
Both are mid-launch shafts, but TR Blue trends a bit lower and flatter, with tighter dispersion and less draw bias than the original. Standard Blue remains the wider-fitting, more forgiving, "load a little more" option. TR Blue is aimed at players who already like the Blue window but want extra stability through transition and impact.
What is the difference between Ventus Blue and Ventus Red?
Both are part of Fujikura's Ventus line and share the same VeloCore construction, but they're tuned for different launch/spin windows and player types.
